We want Hope in Swansea to be as complete a directory of support services as it can be. We aim to make it as inclusive as possible, but we recognise that some of the lists are longer than others. That is due to the wonderful support that the City and County of Swansea offers. There are a few ways to search for the right service for you. You can use the filters, check the map to find what is closest to you, check what is currently open near to you. You can also do this by searching for names or key words. This might be the name of a particular service or the type of support itself.
Please go to the "Support for" section to look for the support service type you require. We also have "Alerts" on each support service profile which quickly tell you a little more about what a support service has to offer before you venture into it further. Each support service also has to provide an overview on their profile page which shows in simple terms what their support offers to those in need.

Why is there a limit on image size for uploads?
For every image that you upload to Hope In Swansea, there is a cost involved in storing that image on the 'Cloud'. To ensure that Hope In Swansea remains free for everyone to use and register their services we must keep the running costs low and for essential processes. We believe that images are a great way to support those without constant internet or smart phone access, so we are determined to offer this service. However, there must be a limit so that we can offer this option to all services. We have also made this a sizeable limit so that smart devices can also manage the download of the files as well as the data used on individual devices when downloaded as this is also an option.
Why is there a strict character limit for support types?
Each support type has a character limit of 280. This is to make sure that the app is accessible for everyone and information is easy to digest. Hope In Swansea is a signposting app and not a replacement for your website or information leaflets. The app will be used primarily on smart phones, therefore the information needs to be concise so that people will read it all. Please include essential information only that will direct people to your service, where they will then be able to find out the additional information. Essential information could include unique opening times for this support type (if they vary from your general opening times), referral criteria, booking details. Refrain from using unnecessary words or punctuation that will use up your character count. If you have any concerns with how to accurately share your details for this support type, Please feel free to get in touch with one of our verification team on firstname.lastname@example.org
